Abstract
The crystal structure of the title compound has been determined from X-ray diffractometric data. Crystals are monoclinic, a= 8·919(4), b= 21·723(8), c= 13·865(6)Å, β= 113·88(3)°, space group Cc. The structure was solved by the heavy-atom method and refined by full-matrix least squares to R 0·039 for 2573 independent reflections. The crystals contain discrete square planar [PtCl(CH2SiMe3)(PMe2Ph)2] molecules. Pt–P, is 2·293(3), Pt–Cl 2·415(5), and Pt–C 2·079(14)Å.Keywords
