The Anatomy of the Extensor Apparatus of the Fingers**The architecture and dynamics of the muscles activating the fingers have intrigued the interested for many years. Recent studies by a number of authors in many countries have delineated the contributions of various components to the complex assembly collectively known as “extensor mechanism.” A number of new terms have been devised. The authors offer some of their own concepts with a few modifications. —The Editor
