Abstract
Three oils of Artemisia judaica L., which is the most aromatic species in the flora of Sinai and Negev, were investigated by GC/MS. Seventy-one constituents were identified in the oils of at least two chemical varieties. Substantial quantities of piperitone (14.73–36.98%), trans-ethyl cinnamate (5.56–13.98%), camphor (5.76–11.53%), were found in each oil studied. Artemisia ketone (14.42–20.96%) was found to be a major constituent of two of the oils studied. Keywords
