Abstract
Serological and immunochemical studies of 5 human sera positive for "albumin auto-agglutinating factor" (AAF) suggest that this factor is an IgG [immunoglobulin G] globulin. The AAF may be an antibody to albumin, and the reaction is probably due to the adsorption on to red cells of soluble antigen-antibody (BSAJbovine serum albumin]-AAF) complexes. Albumin preparations which do not react appear to contain polymers which probably inhibit the reaction. This publication has 19 references indexed in Scilit:
