Abstract
The Mesozoic and Tertiary history of the Hellenides (Greek sector of the Dinarides) is traced. Three stages of development of the Hellenic geosyncline are recognized--a preliminary stage in which a system of ridges and troughs was developed; the geosynclinal stage proper, first open, then filled; and a terminal stage of orogenesis and related secondary movements.
