Chondromalacia Patella

Abstract
Chondromalacia patella is a relatively newly recognized disease, described for the first time in the early 1900s. This is a manageable disease, but can also be very painful and disabling. Because this disease is common in active adolescents who must learn to alter their activities, there is a great psychologic factor involved. This article explains the disease process, the treatment, and the nursing care involved with this disease.
