Abstract
Alkyl halides add smoothly to a variety of olefinic bonds conjugated with electron withdrawing groups, in the presence of zinc-copper couple. Sonication enhances the efficiency of the process, which takes place in aqueous media following, most probably, a radical pathway.Keywords
