Abstract
The year 1977 saw the independent development of two significant documents in the field of computer science and engineering education: "Curriculum Recommendations for the Undergraduate Program in Computer Science: A Report of the ACM Committee on Curriculum in Computer Science,"1and A Curriculum in Computer Science and Engineering2prepared by the Model Curricula Subcommittee of the IEEE Computer Society. The work leading to the publication of these reports was independent, though the commmittees did maintain liaison. Keywords
