Abstract
Summary Septic shock is a severe type of shock secondary to septicemia due to may organism. It is usually accompanied by disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC). Septic shock may be associated with elements of hypovolemic and cardiogenic shock. It responds poorly to treatment. Adequate intravenous fluids and antibiotics are essential. If an adequate arterial blood pressure and urine output are not produced, steroids and vasodilator drugs are recommended. Keywords
