Abstract
A method is given to group treatment means based on unequal numbers by using range tests developed by Duncan, Keuls, Newman, Tukey, etc. This method involves obtaining appropriate significant ranges which are calculated by multiplying the square root of the error mean square by tabled values furnished by the above writers. The difference between any two ranked means is significant if (X1 - xj) v2ninj/(n.+n.) exceeds the appropriate significant range where ni and nj, are the number of replications of treatment i and j respectively. A numerical example is given using Duncan''s tabled ranges. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
