Abstract
A method was descr. for the isolation of small quantities (10-30 mg.) of glucosamine and chondrosamine. The method depended on the sparing solubility in water of the Schiff''s bases, 2-hydroxynaphthylidene-glucosamine or -chondrosamine. The presence of sugars and amino-acids did not appreciably decrease the yield of Schiff''s base. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
