Training provision and workplace institutions: an investigation

Abstract
The training debate has suffered from a preoccupation with macro institutions and regulatory frameworks. This has resulted in a neglect of workplace industrial relations issues. Using case study data from three private sector engineering companies, this article highlights the importance of workplace institutions in explaining training outcomes.Keywords
