Abstract
Lipocaic (Dragstedt''s prep. of pancreas) was tested for its ability to prevent the development of fatty livers in completely depancreatized dogs maintained with insulin. As judged by this test, lipocaic is a poor source of the anti-fatty liver factor of the pancreas. The adm. of lipocaic equivalent to 100 gs. of pancreas to completely depancreatized dogs failed to prevent the fall of cholesterol, phospholipids or total fatty acids of the blood below preoperative levels. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
