The effect of carbon disulphide convulsions on a conditioned emotional response.

Abstract
The strength of conditioned emotional responses (CER) was reduced by CS-sub(2) convulsions, an effect similar to that previously reported for ECS. As with ECS, the attenuating effect was blocked if the convulsions were prevented by ether anesthesia. "The convulsions, rather than the convulsive stimulus as such, appear to be critical in reducing the strength of the CER." 21 references. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
