Abstract
The sellar volume was, measured radiographically in 18 female cases of anorexia nervosa and compared with that of 185 control cases divided into 4 groups: younger females, older females, younger males and older males. The mean volume for the control group of younger females (15–33 years old) was 587 mm3 a figure that is statistically significantly different (p3 for the group of older females (45–60 years old). No difference was found between the 2 male groups. The sellar volume in the anorexia nervosa cases (547 mm3) was significantly different from that of older women (p<0.01) but not from that of younger women. Keywords
