Structure of Fully Oriented Crystalline Trans-(CH)X

Abstract
Fully oriented highly crystalline films of trans-polyacetylene were synthesized by converting films of poly-(BTFM-TCDT) at elevated temperatures under applied stress. We report electron diffraction and X-ray diffraction experiments on these films, which allow to deduce the structural parameters of this fully oriented crystalline modification of trans-(CH)X.
