Virus Replication in the Digestive Tract of Ducks Exposed by Aerosol to Type-A Influenza

Abstract
Enteric infection and cloacal shedding of influenza virus was demonstrated in ducks exposed experimentally to an aerosol of an avirulent type-A influenza virus. The fluorescent-antibody technique was used to identify sites of virus replication in the epithelial cells of the digestive tract and the bursa.
