Abstract
A very dense population of the millipede Narceus annularis (Raf.) was studied. Population size and sex ratio of adults in 3 hectares were determined five times during 1966. From this information the seasonal ecology of the millipede is outlined. Speculation on the significance of the population as a forest mineral reservoir and how this is calculated are given. Keywords
