Abstract

Impressions of fish scales on 3 x 5 in. sheets of cellulose acetate are descr. Impressions are secured with a 10-ton Carver hydraulic press equipped with hot plates. Variable temp, and pressures are possible for plastics with different softening points. Four different methods of preparing scales for pressing are descr.
