Abstract
A densimeter using a magnetic float for measuring changes in the density of water is described. The float is optically sensed and a servo loop holds it submerged in a fixed position by control of the current in a coil. The standard deviation of measurements at 4 degrees C is 0.15 PPM.Keywords
