THE TYPES AND INCIDENCE OF HAND-EYE PREFERENCE FOUND AMONG MENTALLY RETARDED CHILDREN

Abstract
In a study of 395 mentally retarded children, 51 % of the children had mixed hand-eye preference. The most common preference was right-hand/left eye. Left hand preference was 18%, and left eye preference was 51 %. The incidence of mixed handeye preference was significantly higher than that found in other population samples.
