Morphology of the Immature Stages of Anastrepha ludens (Diptera: Tephritidae)

Abstract
Immature stages of Anastrepha ludens (Loew) were examined by light and scanning electron microscopy. The egg, all instars, and puparium are redescribed. The range of variation in key characters of all instars is discussed. The structure of the antennomaxillary complex appears to be quite conservative and similar to that of other Cyclorrhapha.
