Abstract
Xenon was introduced into silver specimens as a recoil fission product of uranium. The distribution of xenon in the specimen was measured both before and after annealing treatments at various temperatures. Comparison of the distribution thus observed with results obtained from Fick's second diffusion equation provided a basis for calculating the diffusion coefficient of xenon in silver. The diffusion coefficients thus determined were significantly lower than those obtained by otherKeywords
