Abstract
A method has been proposed for detecting sera of iodine content of 500 µg. per 100 ml., or higher. When using incineration procedures for the analysis of PBI, samples containing large amounts of iodine may cause the contamination of other specimens, and invalidate the entire run. The high-iodine detection test reported here has also been found useful, under certain conditions, for rapid, semiquantitative iodine assay. Keywords
