Abstract
Foveomacular retinitis is typically associated with eclipse burns. However a macular hole similar to that seen in cases of solar retinopathy, may be observed after ocular contusion or after whiplash injury. The case histories of 3 men, who sustained an ocular contusion and subsequently developed as aspect typical for foveomacular retinopathy, are described.
