Waveguide analysis by random walks

Abstract
A new low-storage numerical method for the solution of waveguide problems, based on impulse analysis, is introduced. This is the random-walk technique, which eliminates the need for processing large matrices by recognising that not all the information available is necessary for a given accuracy of solution. The results of a feasibility study into the use of the method are presented.Keywords
