Abstract
The temperature and composition dependences of the specific heat of liquid Ga-Te alloys are reported. The large specific heat around the composition of Ga2Te3 were observed and this large value and its temperature dependence are satisfactorily explained in terms of the partial dissociation of the compound with increasing temperature. The molar energy obtained for the dissociation from the non-metallic to the metallic state is about 4.7 kcal mol-1.Keywords
