Abstract
The conditions of exposure to household washing products were determined in the case of 267 Cincinnati housewives. The factors studied were number of washing exposures per week, concentration of soap or synthetic detergent solution, temperature of the exposure, and the total time involved in hand immersion per day and per week. The data so determined may be used as a guide in setting up clinical experiments appropriately designed to study the effects of soap and detergents on the human skin under usage conditions. Keywords
