Abstract
Magnetization curves for spherical samples of a series of alloys in the solid solution range of thallium in indium have been measured as a function of temperature and composition, and critical field curves have been obtained. These alloys show a fairly strong Meissner effect, and the breadth of the transition region increases for increasing thallium content. Alloys of high thallium content were found to have magnetic properties strongly sensitive to mechanical shock while in the intermediate state. Keywords
