Assessing the Effect of a Personal Health Management System Within Retirement Communities: A Preliminary Investigation

Abstract
The Ohio Presbyterian Homes initiated a holistic health care program (Personal Health Management System) within several of its retirement communities. Initial findings suggest that program participants experienced significant increases in their health and well-being while non-equivalent control group subjects did not. Conceptual and methodological issues are discussed as well as implications for the future.
