Heavy quark hadroproduction as a test of the effective BFKL quark-antiquark-vertex

Abstract
We calculate heavy quark pair hadroproduction in the framework of the k_t-factorization approach. The quark pair production in the quasi multi Regge kinematics is described by an effective vertex which is a part of the next-to-leading corrections to the BFKL kernel. We find very good agreement of our results with the existing data for bottom-antibottom production. In addition we present predictions for LHC.
