Abstract

The mass spectrum and the stability of a 6-dimensional gravity coupled to a U(1) Maxwell field is analyzed. The gravitational Lagrangian is taken to be a generalization of the Einstein one, containing a particular combination of terms quadratic in the Riemann tensor.
