Abstract
The d-amino acid oxidase conc. of the kidney and liver of various animals was detd. by the method of Warburg and Christian. The tissues of the carni-vors: the dog, jackal, and cat, had the highest conc. of the enzyme; the tissues of the herbivors: the horse, guinea pig and hedgehog, had the lowest conc.; while the values for the omnivorous animal, the rat, were intermediate. There was no increase of the enzyme in the tissues of rats fed a daily supplement of lactoflavin.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
