Abstract
Time resolved XUV radiation of He plasmas produced by optical field ionization in an intense laser field is studied. Fast and slow line emission components generated due to different pumping mechanisms are observed. It is shown that the intensities of these components can be manipulated by varying the laser frequency and polarization. Amplification on the 3-2 transition ) of He II ions is demonstrated.
