Abstract
Immunocytochemistry and electron microscopy have allowed more precise identification and classification of neoplasms formerly considered as representatives of other groups. The malignant rhabdoid tumor is one example. Principally neoplasms of the kidney, rhabdoid tumors present uncommonly in the head and neck, where because of the age of the patients and the neoplasms' resemblance to rhabdomyosarcoma, misdiagnosis is possible and likely. Wherever it arises, the lesion is usually fatalKeywords
