Abstract
Searching felled trees proved effective for finding nests of Phenacomys longicaudus; 117 nests were found in 50 trees. Nests were located throughout the live crowns, but were concentrated in the lower two-thirds of the canopy. Abundance of nests increased with tree size; old-growth forests provide optimum habitat. Keywords
