Abstract
A new in‐out decoupling scheme is derived by means of a phase derivative matrix introduced into the adiabatic canonically transformed close coupled equations for inelastic scattering. The new decomposition is analyzed by means of a slight generalization of the subdynamics introduced by Prigogine and co‐workers in nonequilibrium statistical mechanics. Keywords
