Abstract
A preliminary report on the pressure curves developed by the human bladder when filled by a specially designed pump. Five curves are given, each being claimed to represent an active type of bladder resistance to distention as compared with those obtained by the author on animals. The author claims by analogy these figures support the theory of human vesico-ureteral regurgitation. Unanesthetized subjects were used, and as the bladders were not emptied prior to injection direct comparison of the graphs is difficult.
