Abstract
We clarify the physical origin of the discrepancy between recent purely perturbative and self-consistent calculations of the vertex correction in the spin-fermion model for cuprates. We argue that perturbative calculations substantially overestimate the strength of the vertex corrections at moderate couplings. Keywords
