Abstract
We study multidimensional Einstein-Yang-Mills cosmologies. The stability of the compactifying solutions in the radiation-dominated period that followed the inflationary expansion of the external dimensions is examined. It is shown that for suitable values of the multidimensional cosmological constant the compactifying solution is the true ground state of the system. Keywords
