Abstract
Linear particle transport problems in a two-state random Markov medium are considered. Explicit equations are constructed that determine the expected particle density in a scattering medium. It is shown that the generic equation method is equivalent to the phenomenological model if the free flights of the particle are uncorrelated. Keywords
