Abstract
Different studies of the structure of BPII had previously given three different possible symmetries : sc O2, fcc O4 or icosahedral. In order to discriminate between these three possibilities, we have studied the Kossel diagrams of BPII in MMBC and in a CB15/E9 mixture. The symmetry of these diagrams is completely inconsistent with an icosahedral structure. Two lines expected for O4 symmetry are missing ; the observed diagrams are identical to those of O2 symmetryKeywords
