Abstract
Experimental results of the linear and circular magnetoacoustical birefringence effects are presented for gadolinium iron garnet and yttrium gallium iron garnet. Some special features of these effects, such as directional dependence on the magnetic field and internal field variation are discussed. Magnetoelastic coupling constants and anisotropy constants deduced from these experiments are presented. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
