Abstract
A calculation is given of the cross section for production of fast deuterons (≳50 Mev) by fast nucleons (≳100 Mev) bombarding heavy nuclei. A corrected Fermi model is used. The dependence on energy is given and also the momentum wave function of a nucleon in a heavy nucleus.Keywords
