Abstract
Ampuls of distilled water were stored for a period of two years, with and without a preliminary autoclaving. Solids picked up by the water were found in most cases to increase steadily for the duration of the storage period while the pH tended to reach a constant value characteristic for each glass. Figures are given for the pH increase and solids pickup of all the available glasses known to have been used for ampuls in this country. Keywords
