Human Breast Tumor Cell Lines: Identity Evaluation by Ultrastructure 2

Abstract
Five established human breast tumor cell lines, BT-20, AIAb, HBT-3, 734B, and MDA-MB-157, were compared ultrastructurally with primary cell cultures of both normal and malignant human mammary epithelium. Data suggested that all 5 established lines were neoplastic and at least 3 were derived from mammary epithelium. Variation among the tumor cell lines was discussed.
