Abstract

Colonies of P. brevipes enclosed in cages set over growing fruits permit laboratory breeding of internal parasites of the mealybug. Hambletonia pseudococcina and Anagyrus coccidivorus have been reared on P. brevipes in Hawaii and regular releases to pineapple fields have been made.
