Stability of Frozen Solutions of Sodium Cephalothin and Cephaloridine

Abstract
Experimental evidence is presented to show the stability of frozen solutions of sodium cephalothin and cephaloridine. Solutions of sodium cephalothin (100 mg/ml and 230 mg/ml) or cephaloridine (200 mg/ml) in water for injection are stable for six weeks if frozen immediately after reconstitution. Water for injection is the recommended diluent. Frozen solutions should be stored only in the original containers. Once thawed, solutions should not be refrozen.
