Abstract

Potato wart disease caused by Synchytrium endobioticum has been known on potatoes (Solanum tuberosum) in Newfoundland (Canada) since the beginning of the century. ''Pink Pearl'' is resistant to the local pathogen races except for European race 8. ''Mirton Pearl'' is resistant to all local areas.
