Abstract
Presentation of CaseA sixty-two-year-old man, a wool spinner, entered the hospital because of hemoptysis.For many years the patient had had "bronchial trouble," with cough, gradually increasing dyspnea and occasional blood-streaked sputum for three years. Two and a half years prior to admission an x-ray film revealed a shadow in the left upper lobe, and hospitalization for further study was advised. Instead he resorted to "heat treatments," with some improvement.
